There’s a certain vibe and atmosphere at rooftop bars. It is cool and laidback, but at the same time elegant. Who doesn’t love delicious drinks, finger foods and not to mention; nice views. I have collected some of my favorite rooftop bars in Melbourne.
23 Meyers Pl, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
This is a colorful and playful rooftop, almost like a garden. The menu includes a small, but delicous selection. The black bean tostada is to recommend if you just want a snack, and Sunburnt Fizz is a fresh drink for hot days.
Naked for Satan
285 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC 3065, Australia
The rooftop at Naked for Satan is called Naked in the Sky. The name itself is enough to go to this place, but it doesn’t stop there. From this rooftop, you’ll have the most amazing view over Melbourne skyline. In addition they have amazing finger foods and great drinks. The crumbed eggplant with honey and blue cheese is to die for, and so is the kale salad. Friendly drink tip: You’ll have better Mojitos other places.
Bomba Tapas bar and Rooftop
103 Lonsdale St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
Bomba is really just putting two of the most wonderful things in life together. Who wouldn’t love a good tapas meal on a rooftop? The view isn’t great, but it got a good vibe and the tapas is really good. Make sure you try the manchego croquettes, spicy chorizo and vegetable empanada.
The Rooftop at Imperial Hotel
2-8 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
From the rooftop at Imperial Hotel you’ll have the perfect view over the Parliament in Melbourne. This is a really cool (and crowded) place, with booths where all your friends can come together. Buy cocktails in big cans for the whole group to share, and go for the pizza or mushroom burger if you’re hungry.
The Rooftop at QT
11/133 Russell St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
The Rooftop at QT Hotel has a split indoor-outdoor space on the 11th floor. If you want a front row seat to the beautiful sunset, this is the place to go. On the menu you’ll find flatbread, roasted beet salad and the QT burger, in addition to other things. Ps! The rooftop have a dress code that includes closed shoes, no form of tracksuit and preferrably not hats or beanies.
301 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
This is perhaps the most «instagrammable» bar of them all. The interior inside is rose/peach with green details, suede booths with gold edging and lots of green plants. Outside it’s minimalistic, with white on wood and green plants. On the menu you’ll find different kinds of burgers/sandwiches and delicious (and gorgeous!) drinks – among other things.
3/48 Easey St, Collingwood VIC 3066, Australia
Easy’s is by far the coolest rooftop bar in Melbourne. Eat burgers and drink beer in a rooftop train carriage. Induldge in burgers, hotdogs and buffalo wings. You don’t want to miss out on this place!
